Critical Notice โ€” Please Read First

Digital Arrest Help India is not an official government platform, law enforcement agency, or judicial authority. We are an independent, free, public-interest initiative created to help Indian citizens recognise and avoid digital arrest scams.

Our verification results are based on crowd-sourced user reports and automated pattern-matching. They are guidance only โ€” not legal determinations, official police verdicts, or security guarantees. Always verify with official sources if in doubt.

SECTION 01

1. Who We Are (and Are Not)

Understanding our identity is essential to using our platform correctly.

โŒ We Are NOT

  • A police or CBI portal
  • An Enforcement Directorate resource
  • A TRAI or DoT platform
  • A Ministry of Home Affairs site
  • A government-approved agency
  • A licensed cybersecurity firm
  • A bank or financial institution
  • A legal services provider

โœ… We ARE

  • A free, independent platform
  • A crowd-sourced scam database
  • A public-interest initiative
  • An educational resource
  • A guide to official resources
  • A non-commercial project
  • Based in Uttar Pradesh, India
  • Founded in 2025
SECTION 02

2. No Government Affiliation

Digital Arrest Help India has no official affiliation with the Government of India, any state government, police force, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the Enforcement Directorate (ED), the Income Tax Department, Customs, TRAI, UIDAI (Aadhaar), or any other government body.

References to government agencies, helpline numbers (such as 1930), and cybercrime portals (such as cybercrime.gov.in) on our platform are provided purely for user guidance and to direct victims to official channels. These references do not imply endorsement by or association with those bodies.

Our website domain digitalarresthelp.in is a private domain and is not a .gov.in domain. Any site claiming to be an official government digital arrest portal should be treated with suspicion. Real government portals use .gov.in domains only.

๐Ÿšจ

Scam warning: If anyone calls you claiming to represent "Digital Arrest Help India" and demands money, personal details, or remote access to your device โ€” this is a scam. We never call users proactively. Hang up and call 1930.

SECTION 03

3. Tool Limitations

Our verification tools have important limitations users must understand:

Phone Number Checker: Our database contains only numbers that have been voluntarily reported by users. A number not appearing in our database does not confirm it is safe โ€” it may simply not have been reported yet. Scammers frequently change numbers. A number flagged in our database reflects citizen reports, not an official finding of fraud.

URL Checker: Our URL database is crowd-sourced and supplemented by basic automated analysis (suspicious keywords, TLDs, raw IP addresses). It cannot detect all phishing sites. New phishing domains are created daily. Always check that a website URL is exactly correct and uses HTTPS before entering personal information.

Scenario Analyser: This tool uses phrase-matching against known scam scripts in English and Hindi. It cannot analyse audio, images, or video calls. It may produce false positives (flagging legitimate situations) or miss novel scam tactics. It is a first-level screening aid only.

โš ๏ธ

A "not found" or "no scam patterns detected" result is not a clearance or guarantee of safety. If something feels wrong, trust your instincts and call 1930.

SECTION 05

5. Not Financial Advice

Nothing on this Platform constitutes financial advice. We do not provide investment, banking, insurance, or any other financial guidance.

If you have made a payment to a scammer, immediately contact your bank's fraud helpline and the 1930 National Cyber Helpline. Act quickly โ€” recovery chances are highest in the first 24 hours.

โœ…

Key action if scammed financially: (1) Call your bank immediately. (2) Call 1930. (3) File a complaint at cybercrime.gov.in. (4) Do NOT make any further payments to recover your money โ€” "recovery agents" are almost always scammers too.

SECTION 06

6. Accuracy Disclaimer

We strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information. However, the nature of cybercrime means that scam tactics, numbers, and URLs change rapidly. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding:

  • The completeness or accuracy of our scam database
  • The currency or timeliness of information on our Platform
  • The suitability of any content for a particular purpose
  • The availability or uninterrupted operation of the Platform

Our Platform is provided "as is". We disclaim all implied warranties to the maximum extent permitted under Indian law.

SECTION 07

7. The "False Safety" Warning

This is perhaps the most important section of this Disclaimer. Do not use our platform as a sole source of safety confirmation.

Scammers are sophisticated and constantly evolving. A phone number may not appear in our database simply because it has been recently acquired. A phishing URL may not be flagged because it was registered hours ago. Our scenario tool may not detect a novel scam script it hasn't encountered before.

Always apply common sense:

  • Real police, CBI, ED, or customs officials never conduct arrests via video call.
  • Government agencies never ask you to transfer money to a "safe account".
  • No legitimate authority will ask for your OTP, UPI PIN, or screen access.
  • If pressured to act immediately and secretly, it is a scam โ€” without exception.
SECTION 08

8. Real Emergency Resources

If you are currently in danger or being actively scammed, do not spend time on our platform. Contact official authorities immediately:

๐Ÿ†˜ Official Emergency Helplines โ€” India

1930 National Cyber Helpline
100 Police Emergency
112 National Emergency

Online complaint: cybercrime.gov.in
